I may not look especially chunky in my picture, but I assure you, I grew up quite fat. I ate. A lot. And while I don't gorge myself as much now, my appreciation for food is no less than when I had copious amounts of back fat. My love for grub starts with my family's decades-long obsession with the culinary arts: my mom is a caterer, her father an award-winning chef, my aunt an author of multiple cookbooks, my dad worked in a kitchen in college and my brothers are amazing cooks in their own rights (except for the vegan one, that can be dicey). I love preparing a meal for friends, teaching my girlfriend how to cook, watching cooking shows, flipping through cookbooks, getting inspired by restaurants in my neighborhood and experimenting with flavors and techniques. I'll share my wisdom/mistakes/recipes/successes here to get you inspired about food.
